Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine ACCEPTED!!!

So I got into MSU. Of all the schools I applied to, this is one of the top rated and we couldn't be happier. So the three of us will be going to East Lansing at the end of this summer.

MSU CHM has a cool tradition that they call the kids that are accepted the night after the admission board meets. So, when my cell phone rang last Tuesday and I saw it was some unknown number, I just about crapped my pants! It was one of the best phone calls I have ever gotten.

Joshie turned one.

Josh is one!!

Well time keeps passing. I remember this time last year and wondering what days like yesterday would be like...watching your child start to walk...talk...birthdays...start school...start driving...all that. Its crazy to think how much of that occurs in just the first year. Hopefully I'll remember to stop now and again and take time to enjoy him while he is still little. (and take pictures!!!)

But ultimately the thing that I think the thing that gets me the most, after seeing your son turn one, is how fleeting life is. I remember when he was so little he couldn’t hold his head up and he would lay on my chest and sleep and sleep contently with problems that only involved feeding and changing. And that was only a year ago. Now he is the cutesiest, brightest little boy with a distinct personality and striking potential. Funny, though, even at one, he is exactly what a son should be…..a blessing and a comfort. I am a lucky dude.
